JUST HELPING OUT SOME FRIENDS// SMOOTHIE BOWL

Hey guys!

For the last half a year I’ve had a remarkable amount of friends from close and afar reaching out to me to ask how I do veganism, more specifically what I eat.
Now every time this has happened my heart overflows in joy and I bombard my friends in information about how to transition as well as a hundred food blogs so that they can start cooking.
And I realise, my friends have come to me because they need to learn how to cook vegan, they already know they want to try, and so although some of these blogs I’ve been sharing have simplistic recipes which are easy to follow, most don’t, and just with everything else in life, trying something new means there’ll be a lot of failed attempts. I don’t want my friends to give up, so I’ve decided that I want to start posting a lot more about food - what we eat during a busy day.
We cook everything we eat from scratch, and we keep it hella simple cause I make most of the recipes on the go. No, I’m not starting a food blog, you can however call it that, I don’t care. I’ll post  photos here with the descriptions on how it was made, maybe sometimes the description on IG as well, and that’s it. Perhaps also some nutritional facts or facts/links about veganism and where to learn more but that’s it. If you’ve been considering eating more plants, I truly hope I can help <3

Papaya Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl  - 2 people 3 minutes

  •  2 frozen bananas cut up in 6 chunks and frozen for at least 4 hours
  • 4 dates
  • Handful of frozen strawberries
  • A good chunk of papaya
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon almond/oat milk
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping:

  •  1 cup oats
  •  1/2 dark chocolate
  •  1/4 tablespoon coconut flakes
  • 2 dates cut in little pieces
  •  1/3 cup berries such as blueberries, raspberries

How:

  • Blend top ingredients in a Nutriblast or other blender till it has the consistency of ice cream, if its too liquidy add another frozen banana chunk or a date, too ‘stiff’ add more milk, little by little
  •  Take 1 cup of oats and dry toast on medium heat till they are warm
  • Add on top of the ice cream
  • Add chocolate and the rest of the toppings(add the chocolate first and watch it melt ahhhh)

See the other recipes I’ve posted here

 Enjoy!
