TOMATO BLACK BEAN BURGER
Black Bean Tomato Burger
you need
- 1 can of black beans, drained
- 1 cup of prepaid brown or white rice, or more breadcrumbs if you’re short on time
- 1 cup of bread crumbs
- 1/2 red onion chopped
- 2 garlic feds chopped
- 1 tsp veggie stock/buljong
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 1 tomato chopped
- pepper
- 1 tsp flax seeds
- 1/2 oats
topping
- sourdough bread
- vegan mayo
- ketchup
- mustard
- pickles
- red onion
- iceberg
- arugula
- spinach
- tomato slices
- avocado
how
- place the bread crumbs in a magic bullet or food processor and grind till smaller, place in a bowl
- place black beans and rice in food processor and mash, add with the crumbs
add chopped onions and garlic, veggie stock, tomato, pepper and flax seeds and mix. - add tomato sauce and oats.
taste the batter, the burger comes out like the dough is, so if you need more flavour add more spices to the dough - oil a baking pan with coconut oil.
- make balls out of burger dough and press flat
bake for 15 min on 180 C or 350 F. - top with the toppings listed, please enjoy this treat on sourdough bread instead of burger buns, trust me you will not be disappointed
